Death by Falling-Be Safe!

Q:


My daughter had a friend who was a steel worker, fearless, could walk backwards on the steel. Well with him being him, he had his harness on but didn't tie off and he fell 20 feet to his death. On any elevated work space, the PFAS can't be stressed enough.


A:


Thanks for the story. It always hits home when someone has a real experience to share. Many people do just that and do not tie off. I had a guy in class who had a worker reach to tie off, slipped and died after lunch (wasn't a solar job).


Another friend had a new employee accidentally run over a child. Heartbreaking:(
